Doll Baby

Andrew Yang is an artist from NY who creates dolls named The Kouklitas. These are some of my favourite mini catwalk recreations he has painstakingly crafted in the past. The attention to detail is amazing!
You can currently view some of Andrew's dolls in the SHOWstudio exhibition 'In Wolves Clothing: Re-imagining the Doll' at the SHOWstudio Shop, 1-9 Bruton Place London.

Camille Rose Garcia illustrates Alice in Wonderland

Such an obvious and amazing collaboration- it should have happened years ago! I've been a big Camille fan for years now and I can't wait to add this to my bookshelf!

Rodarte exhibition x Colette

Yeah yeah. We all know the Rodarte x Colette exhibition is really/amazingly cool. But it wasn't till I saw the dolls that I was in love. Even if it is a bit embarrassing that they get to wear Rodarte and I am stuck with my H&M imitation...ha

And just cause...I would be smiling this much too if I were the muse to Rodarte/invited to their show/wearing their clothes.

Comic book kid

Kind of in love in Jordan Crane. I don't own any of his work, as he seems to be really hard to find anything out about. He creates both comic books and artwork prints. My favourite is 'the night the world turned gold'.

'It was a sunny day and rainbows appeared in the splash. This was a great discovery but I didn't have the necessary understanding to draw out a rainbow of any great strength. It marked the beginning of my search for rainbows.'

Paper cut

Allegedly you can only fold a piece of paper 8 times. Pretty boring, right? However, the following visionaries take paper to a whole new level of amazing. Is it the recession causing people to choose cheaper materials? Or is it the fact that it is an everyday object made extraordinary? Either way, you can't ignore paper's emergance in the creative arena.

Unicorns! And this isn't even a patch on some of his pieces.

The Chanel Spring Summer 2009 catwalk show. High fashion paper decor, nice!

Can you believe these are made completely of paper?

Getting even more intricate (if you can believe that) is the work of Hina Aoyama. She only uses scissors!! So delicate...

Kylie stillman does some really interesting things by incorporating the shadows of the work into the pieces.

And of course no paper and art related post would be complete without the amazingness that is Su Blackwell (a personal favourite of mine...can you tell?).
No more needs to be said apart from W-O-W.
