'Salty means beautiful'

Jennifer's Body was different to what I expected. And no, not because Adam Brody did an incredibly convincing Brandon Flowers impersonation throughout. Call me naive, but I was almost expecting Juno gone Halloween (not that that would have been THAT terrible...). But I actually loved it. It was WAY gorier than I expected, and Megan Fox as a demon was actually genuinely scary. I mean look at the first picture- look at that face! I can admit it, I had to watch through my hands for the intense tension moments- not that the guy sat behind us who kept breaking into uncontrollable sneezing helped. Not a massive Megan Fox lover either, but it was refreshing to actually see her act and not stare intensely into the distance while CGI robots did all the work.

Because of all the slating that the film has gotten I think people were wanting Juno round 2. But Jennifer's Body stands on it's own. Beyond the classic Diablo Cody dialogue and shock tactics (was the Megan Fox/Amanda Seyfried kiss relevant to anything??!) the film dealt with all the traumas of being a teenage girl and I kind of loved the ending.

I also might have downloaded the soundtrack....

STEALTH

a tresured Seth moment...

Seth: I invented the stealth!
Ryan: You did.
Seth: I sure did!
Ryan: But you’re yelling, you need to be quiet.
Seth: I haven’t been this wasted since your first night in Newport. When we beat up those kids. With a little bit of that, a little bit of that. A little bit of that and that- [Seth falls out of the car]
Sandy: What’s going on? You guys okay? Seth?
Seth: Shhhhh, We’re being stealth!

A sign of the times

With a headline like that you know it's not going to be pretty. Now I always thought I didn't want to put anything negative on my blog, it's not what I'm about, but the last couple of days require me to go all emo on you, minus the all black attire and terrible music.

First Gemma Ward was supposed to have a comeback in fashion week. Fashion week came and went and there was no sign of every one's favourite 'Australian Alien'. So the rumours began circulating, but nothing came of it. Then as if from nowhere, over Halloween (Halloween miracle perhaps..?) Gemma appeared in New York, 'celebrating her 22nd birthday', allegedly having dressed up as a 'crazed Elvis fan'. As much that mental image was amusing and simultaneously puzzling, everyone began to see this as her potential comeback. Only a few days later and the rumour mill is churning once again, this time suggesting Gemma has given up modelling altogether. The most controversial reason for this being that it is because she has gained weight. Now I don't know about you, but I know many people who love Gemma and are rooting for her comeback, so I think if that's the reason that is really sad.

Come on Gemma, remember the good times!

Now I know what you're thinking, how can there be more?! Well unfortunately there is.
Today Luella(♥) was 'forced out of business'. Their financial backer has parted ways with the brand following the collapse of the company that produces the clothing. No clothes could be produced so orders could not be met causing the brand to shut down.
Luella was the last fashion house i saw shutting down. Okay, it's no Chanel, but Luella has scored lucrative gigs creating lines for U.S mega brand Target as well as supplying to the masses through high profile shops such as Liberty, as well as on the high street in Urban Outfitters.

A.K.A Luella I love you don't do this to me!

I'm thinking maybe the people who won the massive EuroMillions lottery jackpot this week should invest? I mean how many gold bath tubs and crystal can a couple from Wales/ Team of IT people buy??
