Backstage at David Koma ss 2012

I am slowly working my way through all my fashion week photos, but I couldn't wait to get around to these images from David Koma's s/s 2012 show! I ended up dressing for the opening and closing model which was fun but frantic! Before and after the show I managed to capture these pictures.
You can view images of the collection here.

London Fashion Week: Meadham Kirchhoff s/s 2012

I was lucky enough to go to Meadham Kirchhoff's spring summer 2012 show. It was easily my favourite show that I saw all week: Courtney Love dancers, pastel balloon arches, kawaii flatforms, ballerina interludes, spice girls music, the fact that the whole collection was scented, the list in endless! Though I can't beat the beautiful backstage shots by Saga Sig, these were some of my favourite moments.

Katie Eary Spring/Summer 2012

Katie Eary Autumn/Winter 2011/12 Teaser from Wonderland Magazine on Vimeo.

The talk of today has been about how Kanye Showed up at Katie Eary's spring/summer 2012 off schedule show at London fashion week. But look past the shock factor of him seemingly randomly turning up, and like me you are really excited at what this means.
Vogue already confirmed it, but until now there was no solid indication from either Kanye or Eary's camp that she would be designing his debut line. But surely we can take the fact that she soundtracked her collection film and show with Yeezy (in addition to him physically showing up) as confirmation.
I was lucky enough to see her last collection 'Frankensetin's lab' and was blown away. She is one of my favourite menswear designers, so I can't wait to see what this collaboration holds!

Katie Eary A/W 2011: Frankenstein's Lab

I knew I was in for a treat when I received the invitation for Katie Eary's autumn/winter 2011 show. The invite promised 'the monster walks', and a creepy image of frankenstein's monster, along with some classic spooky fonts which had me intrigued.

The collection was said to be inspired by the book 'Elephants on Acid and Other Bizarre Experiments' by Alex Boese (the Frankenstein chapter of course), but there were horror and pop culture references a plenty.
The models (both male and female) wore frakenstein bolt jewellery around their necks and some even had 'stitched' up cheeks.
The final walk saw all the models strut their stuff wearing giant bunny masks, not unsimilar to the cult character of Frank in Donnie Darko.

The collection didn't shy away from colour, embracing a vivid toxic green as the staple, accompanied alongside sickeningly bright pink. I really loved the collection and don't really think my pictures do it as much justice as it is to see it up close. The amount of detail is amazing! Now how do I get my hands on a zombie varsity jacket...
