'Looks like you just hooked yourself a Bass'

My one complaint for the season 2 finale of Gossip Girl was that there was a severe shortage of Dorota action. Besides that, it definitely delivered!

I could gush. BUT instead I'll allow the scene to do the talking...

Blair: Why aren’t you in Europe?
Chuck: I was, and Paris. Only to get your favourite macaroons from Pierre Herme.
Blair: And Germany?
Chuck: … To pick up your favourite Faux Stockings, you know how I adore them.
Blair: What are you doing here then?
Chuck: You were right, I was a coward running away again. Everywhere I went, you caught up with me. So I had to come back.
Blair: I want to believe you, but I can’t. You’ve hurt me too many times.
Chuck: You can believe me this time.
Blair: Oh, is that it?
Chuck: I love you too.
Blair: But, can you say it twice?
… No, i’m serious, say it twice.
Chuck: I love you.
I love you, 3.
I love you, 4.
I love you, 5.
I love you …

!!!

All my pathetic tweeny dreams have come true!
You have to admit, it was a long time coming as such SO worth it. Now what do I do with my Tuesday nights...

In other GG related news, Leighton has teamed up with Cobra Starship in what I find to be the strangest collab evver for the single 'Good girl gone bad'. This follows the track that leaked a couple of months ago 'Birthday' with Awesome New Republic. I'm liking her efforts far more than Taylor Momsen's (Courtney Love with a side of Ashlee Simpson anyone?). The less said about that the better...

I'll leave you with this amazing Chuck Bass memory, and the hope that Valley Girls will still be going ahead...

Sweet Valley high

As vitamin water continues to invade the planet on celebrity at a time...
(exhibit A and B)

...it can only mean it's time for one thing: Gossip Girl!

Last week my heart was in a million pieces for Rufus. He has no money and the Humphry kids are milking him for all he's got. Dan wants to go to a swanky uni. And Jenny needs a lot of money for what we can only presume are haircuts and 'edgy' clothing.
I was promised a re-emergance of the secret love child of Lilz and Rufus, but instead Georgina returned and got all religious for like 2 minutes. All said and done, I'm completely confused who I am rooting for with Blair. But seeing as how that doesn't look like it is about to be resolved anytime soon, let's move on to next week's episode...
Which takes us to VALLEY GIRLS. Yes the much anticipated spin off is happening next week. So on further investigation I found that Josh Schwartz will involve Kirstin and Jimmy in the equation if the show goes into a second series. Is it me or is he overlooking a major factor here: forget young Jimmy/Kiki....I'm talking young SANDY.
Imagine those brows on a teen kid. Brutal. You wouldn't like the Sandy when he's angry.

Anyway, No Doubt will be on the spin off episode performing 'Stand and Deliver'. I am really hoping that the guy in these promos is a young Rufus...

From the pictures floating around alone, I'm warming towards Lily's sister's character. But I'm really unsure as to how annoying it will be having to cross the storylines of the regular characters on Gossip Girl with Lily's past.
Yes I'm one of those people who sits through films constantly saying 'But that couldn't happen!'. On the other hand I love trashy TV. And next week's episode looks frought with things for me to explode over...

Nate and Blair...?

Blair minus Chuck...?

Dan and Serena...? Okay not so much trauma over this storyline but I'm sure SOMEONE still cares...

Dan mark 2 a.k.a mini Rufus...?! All will be revealed...

Valley Girls

It's coming!!! May 11th is when the episode will air which will tie in the flashbacks and lead onto the new series. This will probably be the episode featuring No Doubt I'm guessing?
However let's not get too excited. There are a few questions to pose to the new series. For Instance..
Are you Blair Waldorf dressed as an olde English cockney woman peddling flowers...

Are you Nate Archibald with an EXTREME side parting...

Are you Chuck Bass in a robe with a tiny teacup...

...probably not...but I am going to seriously enjoy watching you try :)

Until then enjoy these recent spreads from the cast in the Terry Richardson shoot for Rolling Stone. I'm not a big Terry fan, but for fangirling purposes I can make an exception this once.
Leighton Meester in McQ HI.

And a cheeky preview for next week, obviously.

The Katy that got the cream

After a looong wait of what seemed like forever, the time finally rolled around for me and Vicky to redeem the Katy Perry tickets that had been festering in a box in my room and itching to be used.
We opted for the Friday date so we wouldn't have uni, which gave us and excuse to make a night of it and dine out in style. On a student budget this translates to pizza and peach iced tea, ohh yes my secret vice. Gutted they don't do it in massive 2 litre bottles like my usual tipples :(

After sighting a Chace Crawford come Ed Westwick esque waiter and discovering my hidden talent for photographing in an i-D style we left for Koko.
However, this meant crossing the treacherous path of Topshop on Oxford Street. Obviously we had to have a quick browse, only human after all. I picked up the 214 magazine which was actually released in conjunction with fashion week, but I never got chance to pick up due to my kerayyze schedule during that week.

We also clocked the Emma Cook shoes I've been lusting after since ever, but unfortunately bar the display pair at the front of the store they only had a black pair left in size 5. Bad times. Additionally I don't have £95 to spend on a singular pair of shoes, but a girl can still dream...Plus those babies are selling like hotcakes on ebay!
After sadly accepting our frilly shoe dreams would never be realised we hotfooted it over to Koko for the night's festivities where I was greeted at the door by being asked for ID. Seeing as how I've recently turned 19 I was slightly offended, but more annoyed at the fact I had been asked unexpectedly. If you know me you know that I always like to be prepared at the cash register with my cash/card poised, because if not I have to spend 10 minutes delving through the millions of cards I have somehow accumulated and I always have an identity crisis and a moment of doubt where I think I've forgotten my card. Needless to say I'm probably not the best customer to have in this instance.
After likely backing up a queue of tweens with said card delving we finally got in.

Fun ensued. 30h!3 supported and they had mega bass that made your face buzz and synchronised break down routines. At this point we were wedged in a corner but nevertheless at the front of the stage. Luckily the crowd was compromised mostly of short tweens so you could get a pretty decent view from anywhere.
Katy's show involved a giant cat with light up eyes, giant banana and strawberries, and inflatable lipstick. It looked a little something like this...
