I got brass knuckles hanging from my neck and my.....coffee??
The ultimate in weaponry bling, this cup from Simone Brewster (v appropriate name when dealing with drinks, no?) screams BACK AWAY FROM THE MUG. I'm not sure whether this would be a good or bad thing, not being a coffee drinker myself, but I've heard the withdrawl symptoms can be a biznitch.
If the gold flashy ghetto one isn't your style, you can always put some brappp in yo beverage and resort to Chilly Chilly's gun mug here!.
Halloween for the discerning fashionista
These outfits definately put my cardboard doughnut costume to shame...shot by Diego Uchitel for Black magazine he parodies some of the most high profile individuals in the fashion industry. I particularly like the Viktor and Rolf complete with chin fluff!

The rat race
Jeans do NOT make you feel attractive: fact.
They drop down when you sit and are unrelentless in shape, especially slim fits and 'skinny' (shudder, I hate that term) jeans.
So Sass and Bide, the Australian label have provided the answer to the ever perplexing question, can I actually wear leggings as trousers in public without being arrested for indecent exposure?!!
They have created the 'Black rat' trouser, which is said to be a combo of the jean with the oh so alluring stretchyness and style of leggings.
This is great for me as I have recently converted to the legging way of life and I am in no hurry to trade back...now I just have to figure out how to find $170.00...

Blair: Well, I'm aware I lack some people's ... easy grace with strangers. I don't exactly make you feel like you've known me forever even though we just met. When I laugh, you might not smile just at the coquettish sound of it, and I may not be spontaneous or delightful or full of surprises, and my hair not sparkle when it catches the light... everything worth knowing about me is in that folder. I made sure of it.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$hipping
'if i start crying, just GO WITH IT'
The asian couple is so cute!!
At one time, I was simply dismayed with the fact that Fred Flare did shipping that was something ridiculous like $40 ($40!!!!!).
But now I am further saddened to find that they no longer even offer the option of extortionately priced shipping!
AND they just opened a new store in New York, and yet we STILL cannot get hold of and of tha' goodz!
I am very confused when companies do things like this, as surely they should want more customers, and a large amount of their site visitors MUST come from overseas.
Wouldn't the sensible thing be to just charge what it costs to post the item?
Or even just a little bit over if they want to make profit??
I have been a fred flare browser for years now and it has NEVER been feasable or easy for me to be able to purchase ANYTHING from there.
Maybe it is karma, maybe it is fate. I SIMPLY DON'T KNOW!
For all this and more, I am allocating Fred Flare the sad tofu.
if you are lucky enough to live in the U.S or are like me and enjoy aimless browsing go here!

Comme des Garcons ♥ the sweedes
I am always wary of high street collaborations (e.g. Madonna's line at H&M...need I say more?)
The latest name to collaborate with Sweden's finest in high street in Comme Des Garcons.
From the first look, the items seem to be quite plain and as such would probably make good staples in most people's wardrobes, and I am liking the flower petal shaped dress above.
The line will be launched in Japan from November 8th and globally from November 11th.
There's probably gonna be blood shed in the grab on oxford street that only a primark opening day crowd could handle...

I dream of carousels
I stumbled across the work of Pierre Marie today and was pleasantly surprised, even more so when I discovered his recent ghostly print work, produced in collaboration with Gabrielle Greiss, has been incorporated into a number of pieces by Sonia Rykiel in the Fall 2008 collection.
The dresses really complement the sweet and sinister balance of the artwork.
The illustrations also really remind me of a film I once saw called 'Love me if you dare' (or Jeux d'enfants), where these two childhood friends constantly dare each other these crazy dramatic tasks, depending on whoever has the tin carousel.
As you would imagine in most French cinema, the imagery is both crazy surreal and amazing, and I definately reccomend seeing it as long as you're not one of those people who 'can't' watch films with subtitles (...).
Providing you discount the fact that the film's English title sounds like it should star Jude Law as a charming lethario and have a Christmas romance theme set in New York, the film is unlike anything else.

oh..
yes!
When we went to Disney World when I was younger my sister, who was about 5 at the time saw some flamingos and thought they were crazy flowers. Ever since I have had a soft spot anything flamingo.
Which is also the reason why I feel I must own this outfit from Just Cavalli...

If this necklace could talk I think it would shout
The fact that it means absolutely nothing and something at the same time amuses me no end.
I'm always lusting after this at brick lane market but am always sidetracked by the fact that I could probably buy a semi-substantial item of clothing for the equivelant price...*le sigh*...

If you replaced Colonel Mustard with Karl Lagerfeld...
You might very well end up with this!
Its an art piece by Tom Sachs.
But I can totally imagine this being in an updated version of Cluedo...not quite so much his Prada toilet though....
See more of his work, including a massive bronze Hello Kitty fountain here!

Clowning around
So last night I ended up at a random night sponsored by the best in camp drinking, sequin absolut vodka!
However, the best part was not the fact that there was free amusing feather masks, free cocktails OR free diamante' badges ( free!) but the fact that they had the most amazingly dressed djs ever!
Apart from spending a while trying to decide whether their immaculately matching hairdos were wigs or not, I also noticed how great their music was! They fill a place in my heart which The Chalets (R.I.P ) used to occupy.
Dance routines and matching outfits? err yeah!
Unfortunatley I have not yet joined the igeneration and so I can't download their first song 'black cat' from itunes, so i'll just have to spend my time streaming over the olde myspace instead...

Artist don't always have to paint on paper...
Exhibit A: Pat McGrath.
Chances are, you've probably seen her work and not realised it...
She has the ability to go from natural and fresh to overly dramatic and obnoxious, whilst never repeating a single thing.
You'll probably know her most recent work from the Dior FW08 campaign, which took trashy doll to a whole new level!
Amazingly she has never even had any training, and simply completed an art foudation at Northampton college.
It's definately making my make up routine feel insanely drab..
My favourites are her wine stained lips of Prada 06 here!

I am not a nugget! or am I...
Banksy has revolted yet again by opening what is loosely a pet store, but instead of the usual depressed goldfish, this store is filled with anamatronic animals such as rabbits applying lipstick and chicken nuggets guzzling sauce pots.
What disappoints me about banksy is how commercialised he has become. I feel the morals he began on by producing 'art for art's sake' have become crumbled under the commercial backing and sales he ha smade. However he managed to fund it, this does raise some good questions about factory farming and the treatment of animals...

Ear Ear
Sillyness, check.
Prospect of never being able to wear this seriously, check.
Balance of winter warmth and amusing animal factor, check.
Basically this is what would make any winter outfit for me if I were about a foot shorter so I wouldn't tower over everyone with the added height and I wouldn't look horribly ironic if I got really annoyed in the lovely british autumn weather i.e. torrential rain.
It's already sold out on the Topshop website, so if you want a slice of the woolen mousketeer pie I'd suggest scouring the larger Topshop stores as I totally plan on doing...

shiny AND cute?!
There is only one way bokeh can improve in my eyes, and that is if it becomes a cute shape!
What makes this even better is the fact that you can do it yourself!
